Meet Our Team
We are extremely proud of our team and the exceptional level of care that they provide. Many of our staff have been with us for over a decade. This gives a continuity of care that is unrivalled in the local area.
Our staff team is led by Registered Manager, Wendy Stallwood, who has been with Bradbury House since we opened. Wendy is extremely proud of the homely feel of Bradbury House and her dedicated team of carers. The management team at our Beaconsfield care home also includes two further full-time managers, two senior team leaders and four team leaders. Our dedicated team is supported by numerous full and part-time care assistants as well as catering, administration, maintenance and housekeeping staff.
The strong feeling of community and family at Bradbury House is helped by the fact that a significant number of staff actually are family! Bradbury House has a husband, wife and mother-in-law team, as well as various mothers, daughters, sisters and cousins that all work together in harmony, making sure Bradbury House is truly a home from home.
Wendy Stallwood is Registered Manager of Bradbury House and has been with Bradbury House since we opened in 1994! Wendy joined as a nurse and was promoted to Nurse Manager, Deputy Manager and finally, in 2001, Registered Manager.
“Our long-serving staff are the cornerstone of the excellent care provided to the residents of Bradbury House. The Trustees have always understood that Bradbury House’s reputation for its quality of care is directly linked to our committed, loyal and experienced care team.”
Rod Marsden
“Bradbury House is a ‘Home from Home’ and provides the environment I would want for myself and my relatives. It provides a balance between freedom and independence and security and care. It is good to work in such a special place.”
Andrew Cantelo is our Care Manager and joined our team in April 2000. He began his career at Bradbury House as a Care Assistant on an agency placement, but asked for a permanent job after just one week as he realised he’d found his vocation. Andrew has been on the Bradbury House management team for 16 years.
Sue Brown is Deputy Manager and joined Bradbury House in 1996 as Assistant Manager. She played an instrumental part in the building and development of the Activity Centre and opening up our offering for day care to local elderly people.
Janine House started working at Bradbury House in 2003 after leaving her previous job as a forklift operator because it was cold! She joined us as a Carer before being promoted to Team Leader and then to Assistant Manager. Janine is working on getting Bradbury House Accreditation for Gold Standard Framework in end of life care, which she is passionate about.
