At Bradbury House, we believe everyone has something valuable to bring to the team. Not everyone needs to be a manager, but we do think everyone can be a leader in their own way.
We’re proud to offer a home from home for our residents and day visitors. The people who make this possible are our dedicated and caring team. They’re at the heart of everything we do, and that’s why we’re always looking for ways to support and develop them.
Recently, we held a leadership development day, inspired by our core value: All Together. It was a brilliant opportunity to bring everyone together and focus on building skills that help us care even better. There were plenty of fun and challenging activities throughout the day, which were all designed to encourage teamwork, communication and fresh thinking.

It wasn’t about ticking boxes or getting everything right. The aim was to learn, support each other and grow as a team. Everyone had the chance to step up, try something new, and even lead their colleagues in a task. Sometimes things went well, sometimes they didn’t and that was absolutely fine. The important thing was the learning that came out of it.

Events like this are more than just a day out of the usual routine. They’re a chance to reflect, connect and remind ourselves why we do what we do. Most of all, they help us to keep providing the kind of thoughtful, person-centred care that Bradbury House is known for.
Because when we work together, we’re stronger. And that means better care for the people who call Bradbury House their home.
