We have recently launched our new values programme at Bradbury House. This new approach is about elevating our care even further and making our residential care home the very best it can be.
The whole staff team worked with Jason Greasley, Head of Coaching and Leadership Transformation from Buckinghamshire Health and Social Care Academy, to create and agree our new set of values.
The values we are all working toward are:
Caring
All together (teamwork)
Respect
Empathy
As part of the launch, the team undertook lots of group challenges, which got us all thinking, as well as laughing together! In the afternoon the residents joined in for tea and cup cakes and the winning team were presented with their winners’ trophy. Staff, residents, relatives and visitors will be able to nominate a member of staff to receive a values recognition award.
As part of the training we did, we also entered a team into the local Adult Social Care 2024 Olympics.
This county competition tested each team in several skills and its purpose was to get out and have some fun with the team, support their wellbeing, develop their leadership skills, and build trust with their team.
Our team ‘Bradbury House special agents’ did us proud (with Alfie as their mascot), and we are absolutely delighted to announce that we were the winners. Well done everyone.
