We are seeking to recruit passionate individuals into the role of Society trustee where you will take part in shaping and directing the organisation and ensuring that it operates efficiently, effectively and prudently as a modern care home.
What we do
The Abbeyfield Beaconsfield Society, Bradbury House is run on a not for profit basis by a highly committed management team supported by a body of eight trustees who utilise the skills acquired in their professional lives to help ensure our 42 residents receive the best possible care. We pride ourselves on providing a secure, relaxed and homely environment within our home while being financially strong. We offer appropriate levels of care and support to preserve the privacy, dignity and independence of each person and every resident is treated individually with their care being centred around their own needs and choices. We also operate an Activity Centre which has recently undergone a successful major redevelopment and which caters for day care visitors as well as for our residents.

What we are looking for
We are particularly looking for trustees residing within or near to the Beaconsfield area with professional knowledge and experience in the following fields:
- Finance: we seek a financially qualified person capable of filling the position of Honorary Treasurer. The Treasurer’s role includes liaising with the Finance Manager employed by Bradbury House to ensure proper accounts and financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place while reporting to the Board of Trustees information concerning the financial health of the Home.
- Health and Social Care: we seek a person with a professional experience in the healthcare industry capable of liaising with our Registered Manager, Care Manager and our House Committee on matters relating to the welfare of our residents.
We welcome applications from all individuals who feel they might meet the essential and desirable criteria to fulfil either of these roles.
Time Commitment
You will need to be able to commit to attending Trustee Board Meetings six times a year, plus an AGM. Additional calls on your time will be sought through attendance of either our monthly House Committee or Finance Committee meetings.
