If you’ve spent any time at Bradbury House over the past twenty years then you’re sure to know Andrew Cantelo, our Deputy Manager. After moving to High Wycombe from the Isle of Wight at the age of nineteen, Andrew was initially studying mechanical engineering.

He fell into a career in care after starting a part-time job as a carer whilst recovering from a rugby injury on the Isle of Wight. He then moved to High Wycombe. “I began work at Bradbury House on 7th April 2000 as a care assistant. This was an agency placement, but after one week I asked for a permanent job and never looked back,” he remembers. Andrew quickly realised that he had found his passion in life: supporting and caring for others. He’s been on the management team at Bradbury House for the past 16 years and loves his job.

Bradbury House is a really special place to work, Andrew explains why: “It’s like one big family. All we want is the best for the residents and that is the aim of Bradbury House. I think that’s why people continue to work within the company for a long time.”

Andrew’s wife also works at Bradbury House, and they have a young daughter.
